Now that I have retired as president of NWS and given up my business consulting, I will probably have the time to put in some serious work on the subject. I have a lot of preliminary work to go through, such as deciding on the tone of the work and how I wish to present the ideas. I have a feeling that some parts of the long series of still lives will play a part, but I have yet to decide if that is a certainty or not. Wish me luck that the muse comes to visit and sticks around for a while!Mikehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12589916820019735485noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-758805761478449587.post-20493003913063445312012-02-19T09:40:31.251-08:002012-02-19T09:40:31.251-08:00are you planning to write a book on based on your ...are you planning to write a book on based on your own breakthrough , "watercolour beyond the obvious" W/S and design principles mike ? hope soJANE MINTERhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12753128396478756721noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-758805761478449587.post-18070852009543642462012-02-10T16:40:02.858-08:002012-02-10T16:40:02.858-08:00Rhonda . . .I have painted 117 of the same still l...Rhonda . . .I have painted 117 of the same still life set up. If one focuses on the elements and principles of design, the ideas never stop coming. Too many painters are stuck on thinking that subject is what carries a painting. It's not what we paint, it's how we paint it. And that is the name of the game in making 2 full sheets every week . . . . .not intended to be masterworks . . . just experiments.Mikehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12589916820019735485noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-758805761478449587.post-3781726157906483932012-02-09T06:24:58.628-08:002012-02-09T06:24:58.628-08:00In true abstract fashion, this one looks good as a...In true abstract fashion, this one looks good as a vertical, too :) I can't imagine painting 2 full sheet watercolors every week of the same thing - for weeks - but I imagine (if your head doesn't explode) you learn a lot and have your own breakthroughs!RH Carpenterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05497161758269292809noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-758805761478449587.post-35364478735560608372012-02-08T20:05:41.964-08:002012-02-08T20:05:41.964-08:00Hmmmmmmm!
